Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine pork, 1 tablespoon soy sauce, and cornstarch. Let stand for 10 minutes.
  2. Heat vegetable oil and sesame oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  3. Add pork and stir-fry until browned and cooked through. Remove pork from skillet and set aside.
  4. Add cabbage, carrots, and mushrooms to the skillet. Stir-fry until vegetables are tender-crisp.
  5. Return pork to the skillet. Add green onions, hoisin sauce, 2 tablespoons soy sauce, rice vinegar, 1 teaspoon sesame oil, sugar, and red pepper flakes (if using). Stir to combine and heat through.
  6. Warm tortillas according to package directions.
  7. Serve mu shu pork mixture in warm tortillas.

Tips & Notes

This recipe is a classic Chinese stir-fry that's both flavorful and fun to eat. The key is to have all your ingredients prepped and ready to go before you start cooking, as the stir-frying process is very quick. You can substitute chicken or beef for the pork if desired.
