Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan, or line it with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter and granulated sugar until well combined.
- Add the cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt to the bowl. Whisk until smooth.
- Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Add the eggs one at a time, whisking well after each addition until the batter is glossy and smooth.
- Gradually add the gluten-free flour blend, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
- If using, fold in the chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs attached (not wet batter).
- Let the brownies cool completely in the pan on a wire rack before cutting into squares.
Tips & Notes
For an even richer flavor, you can use a mix of semi-sweet and dark chocolate chips. Ensure your gluten-free flour blend contains xanthan gum, as it's crucial for texture in gluten-free baking.
