- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, stir together the melted butter and sugar.
- Beat in the cocoa powder, baking powder, salt, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Stir in the flour until just combined. Do not overmix.
- If using, stir in the chopped nuts.
- Spread the batter evenly into the prepared baking pan.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a wooden skewer inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs attached.
- Let the brownies cool completely in the pan before cutting and serving.
Tips & Notes
